An excellent place to stay for a night. Spacious living and bathroom areas. Very well appointed with a large screen TV. Very friendly and helpful proprietors and a very good, generous continental breakfast available. Close to good restaurants and the main roads.
- KarenWe stayed at the Pembrooke Motor Lodge in Whangarei with another couple. Bob and Carol, the kiwi owners, were both very friendly in the initial phone contacts we had with them. They very kindly allowed us to have use of a unit before check in time. The units were very clean and all the staff were friendly and obliging. The beds were very comfortable and warm, the hot water was hot and the shower was strong with an adjustable shower head. A very comfortable and pleasant stay. We'll be back next time we're in Whangarei.
- JanetVery clean and comfortable. Highly recommended. Hosts Bob and Carol are extremely helpful. Will definitely stay here again. Also very close to Town Basin and Town Centre. Road noise was not an issue at all.
- IainWe would not hesitate to recommend Pembroke Motor Lodge as a place to stay in Whangarei. The hosts could not have been more accommodating and even arranged for us to get meal when our flight was delayed and we were late arriving. The room was very clean and spacious. We would have liked to have stayed longer.
- SteveGood location and good sized rooms. The location is more away from major busy roads, so is quieter than most motels. My room was a very good size for a studio, and well appointed for the money. Bed was comfy and slept very well.
- CarlGood location with friendly owners / managers, plenty of parking on and off street. The room was very clean and everything was in order. Owner offered us a drop off and pick up service to town which was nice but it's a relatively easy walk.
- GrahamWe have just stayed 6 nights at the Pembroke over Christmas. Can not fault the accomodation or the friendly helpful hosts Carol and Bob.
Was comfortable , roomy and spotlessly clean.
